National Director

The proud mother of two wonderful daughters, Tancy and Tannah, your National Director is Misty Davis. Misty lives a very active life and is very involved with her family, friends, and PTA. She attends Cross Timbers Community Church in Argyle, Texas.
On any given day you will find her busy at work, doing what she does best, directing America’s Girl.  As a busy Mom, she makes time to put as much as she can in bettering the system we’ve all grown to love, America's Girl!  You may also find her shopping... after all it’s one of her favorite things to do. She also enjoys traveling and exercising. When not working, Ms. Misty is busy attending and volunteering at events for her very active daughters.  As a Christian, Misty is always excited to share her testimony, and tell what Christ has done in her life.  Misty makes an extra special effort to always try and put God in all that she does.  She feels that it's important that AG stays focused as a Christian based System.  She loves the Lord and doesn't mind shouting it from the roof tops.  Walk up behind her and you just might hear her humming Christian Music.
Not only is Misty a pageant director, but she is a pageant mom. Tancy and Tannah both have held numerous local, state, and national titles. Misty also enjoys helping all contestants and families with their pageant endeavors through coaching, helping with wardrobe, or just listening to their pageant dreams.
Misty truly loves the pageant industry. She has been active in pageantry since the early 80’s when she herself began her pageant journey as a contestant. Misty has competed in several pageants, to gain titles that are dear to her heart. She was a pageant director for different systems before becoming the National Director for AG.

Misty had always had a passion for music and dance. Beginning dance at the age of 2, she still finds it hard to sit still when hearing a good beat. She started twirling at the age of 5 and  later became a Jr. High and High School twirler. She was a Feature Twirler her Senior Year, after receiving perfect scores at Try-Outs. Misty was a member of her Jr. High and High School Bands, where she performed with the woodwinds, brass, and percussion sections. She was also a member of the High School Drill Team. While in High School, Misty was very active in her school FFA Program where she was an Officer and an active Livestock exhibitor. In case you’re wondering, the livestock she exhibited were pigs. Misty became quite the “Pig Farmer” and she was awarded first place at the Famous Fort Worth Live Stock Show. She also claimed many top 15 awards.
Misty graduated from Barbizon Modeling School in 1990 with 76 hours of major modeling where she later signed with the Barbizon Modeling Agency. She spent the next few years as a petite model on the runway and in print.   She later attended Cisco Junior College where she earned her Associates degree in Public Speaking. In 2002 Misty obtained her Property and Casualty Insurance Agent licenses when she joined Farmer’s Insurance Group. She began her career with Farmer’s in Abilene, Texas. Farmer's later led her to Medford, Oregon, then eventually to Wichita Falls, Tx.  In the years following her time with Farmer's, Misty spent 3 years as a cheer coach and 4 years as a wedding and party coordinator.
The search for the public school with the best Dyslexia program for her daughters, led Misty and her family to Denton, Tx, where they are currently residing.
If you were to ask her why she became a pageant director, she would reply, ”Simply because I love the world of pageantry and what it offers to contestants and their families.”
